Scottish Election: Casting your vote on Thursday
The photo of the Scottish Parliament debate chambers is currently vacant until after you vote for who should go in there and represent you and your communities.
Your voice is a powerful tool for change – and using it to vote in these elections helps ensure your experience of social and economic issues reflects your needs.
The people you elect become part of important discussions and decisions in parliament about your life, so who you choose can have a big impact on your experience.
Voting is not for others, but for every voting-age person and in Scotland, registered 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds can vote
Voting is on Thursday, 7th May 2026. You can vote between 7am and 10pm
