Jambo! Radio and Strathclyde University’s African and Caribbean Society (ACS)

Recently, Jambo! Radio had the pleasure of meeting with the Executive members of the African and Caribbean Society (ACS) from Strathclyde University, and the discussions were nothing short of inspiring. The meeting centred around exploring potential collaboration opportunities to support ACS members in their pursuit of work experience and internships.

The gathering provided a platform to discuss various roles within Jambo! Radio that could offer valuable learning experiences to ACS members. It was heartening to witness the enthusiasm of both parties in fostering a partnership that would benefit the students and the radio station alike. The ACS members expressed their eagerness to gain practical skills and industry insights, while Jambo! Radio was excited to engage with young talents brimming with fresh perspectives.

Among the highlights of the meeting were the brainstorming sessions on experimental initiatives that both entities could undertake in the near future. Ideas flowed freely, and the atmosphere buzzed with creativity. The exchange of thoughts not only fuelled excitement for potential projects but also laid the groundwork for a collaborative relationship built on shared goals and aspirations.

Jambo! Radio expressed their gratitude to Vice President Cree and Secretary Okwuchi of the ACS for taking the time to join the meeting. Their commitment to creating opportunities for their fellow students was commendable, and their proactive approach exemplified the ACS’s dedication to empowering its members.

The meeting concluded on a note of optimism, with both parties looking forward to the possibilities that lie ahead. It was evident that this collaboration was more than just an isolated event; it was a stepping stone towards a promising future.

As the saying goes, “Tomorrow’s future is today’s plan.” By coming together, Jambo! Radio and the ACS have laid the groundwork for shaping a future that embraces diversity, fosters growth, and empowers young talents to thrive in their chosen fields.
