Wellbeing grassroots football team elects new executives

Amical FC Scotland, a Sunday afternoon football team that promotes wellbeing, physical activity and environmental protection through sports, held their general assembly on Sunday 26th April 2026 in Glasgow to vote in a new executive board members.
The community football team, in its second exceptional year of relentless physical activity, friendly football matches, and environmental protection, even during the winter, has been strengthened by its team spirit and is determined to continue the dynamic momentum.

Admitting some disciplinary challenges, acknowledging progress in attitudes on respecting each other, punctuality and attendance, the newly elected Secretary General and Communications Officer of Amical FC, Xavier (pictured on the right in blue top), said:

“A major step has been taken with the development of a rigorous code of conduct aimed at eliminating disruptive behaviour during our training sessions. This code will be presented, read, and signed by everyone starting this Sunday. Transparency, equality, and the total rejection of antisocial behaviour are our core values.”

Registration is free for those under 16, £5 registration for those under 20, £10 for new members, and £20 for annual membership (April to April), for a total of £30 to be paid within four weeks of this Sunday, plus £1 for each training session to cover equipment maintenance to make it easy for participants.
The team reported a stable and positive financial position, grateful for the generosity of its members’ support and that of our advertisers and benefactors.
Elections were held, and the following were voted into a one-year term on the executive board:

Xavier, General Secretary/Communications Officer.
Max, Head Coach
Serge, Treasurer
Willy Propre, Chief Whip/Censor
The posts of Vice-President, Auditor, Assistant Coach, or Trainer remain vacant, and applications or expressions of interest are welcome.
