Tech and Tea at Renfrew Townhall

This morning, Renfrew Townhall was abuzz with excitement as Tech and Tea, a collaborative event organised by RACA and Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership, took centre stage. The gathering aimed to empower and educate the community on various financial and technological aspects, and it proved to be an informative and inspiring event.

A highlight of the event was the brilliant presentation delivered by esteemed speakers. Paula from Right Way Credit Union shed light on the importance of financial literacy and how credit unions can provide valuable support to the community. Sharon from Barclays Bank shared insights on the ever-evolving world of banking technology, emphasising the convenience and security it brings to everyday transactions. Chris from Fair for You presented innovative solutions to access affordable credit, ensuring financial inclusivity for all.

The presence of Gavin Newlands, the MP for the people, added a sense of significance to the event. His attendance showcased his dedication to engaging with the community and addressing their concerns.

Tech and Tea succeeded in fostering a sense of empowerment and knowledge-sharing among the attendees. It provided an opportunity for community members to connect with financial experts, ask questions, and gain valuable insights that can positively impact their lives.

Moreover, the event exemplified the power of collaboration between organisations and the government. RACA and Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership demonstrated the positive outcomes that arise when working together to address the needs and aspirations of the community.
